Asturias

Fashion film

Asturias (subsequently named Leyenda "Legend") is a musical piece composed originally to be played in piano by the musician Isaac Albéniz in 1892. The historical registry records the piece as being closely related to the Andalusian flamenco, where the sudden changes and downbeats initially structured in G minor. Later Asturias was modified by Francisco Tárrega to be interpreted on E minor by a guitar.

 

On cinematography, Asturias captures the attention of the Spanish filmmaker Carlos Saura who includes in his film 'Iberia' (2005) inspired by many works of Albéniz. In this new version, the short film refers and recalls all this aspects that have transformed and accompanied the creativity around the Albeniz's composition.​
